  • Post-Award Start-Up Conference

    A meeting held with the contractor who was awarded the contract prior to the beginning of contract performance. It ensures that the contractor fully understands the expectations, performs accordingly, and can provide the foundation for an effective contract effort. Objectives of the post-award meeting are to ensure the contractor understands the technical requirements of the contract; to clarify the rights and responsibilities of both parties; and to determine the need for follow-up meetings.

  • Pre-Bid/ Pre-Proposal Conference (Meeting)

    A meeting held by the buyer with potential bidders/proposers prior to the opening of the solicitation for the purpose of answering questions, clarifying any ambiguities, and responding to general issues to establish a common basis for understanding all of the requirements of the solicitation. May result in the issuance of an addendum to all potential providers. In certain situations, a mandatory conference may be advisable.
