    A representation of the life cycle of a given system, from concept through development, acquisition, operations phases, and final disposition. (Nash et al., 2007) This term is also used when speaking about the generation and disposal of hazardous waste. Also called womb-to-tomb and referred to as the Purchasing Cycle.
