NIGP encourages organizations to formally adopt and support our Values and Guiding Principles of public procurement as a way to continuously improve the procurement profession and help drive it forward.
Adopting organizations openly express formal approval of the final Values & Guiding Principles and Standards of Practice. They agree to spread the word and have the opportunity to add representation to the Review Team. There is no financial commitment to become an adopting organization.
We encourage all organizations, including existing supporting organizations, to consider formally adopting NIGP Values & Guiding Principles. This is a formal approval of the finalized documents and their contents, sent via email to lfrank@nigp.org from an individual with the authority to pledge such support on behalf of their organization.
Organizations that are not ready to formally adopt the NIGP Values and Guiding Principles and/or the Standards of Practice may choose to become a supporting organization. A supporting organization is a public sector organization that supports the concept of collaborative development of guidance for the public procurement profession. Supporting organizations agree to help spread the word and are encouraged to add representation to the Review Team. There is no financial commitment to become a supporting organization.
The action to become a supporting organization is relatively informal. The CEO or President of an organization can send an email indicating the organization’s support to lfrank@nigp.org
